No doubt everyone knows how popular eBook publishing is becoming in this age of computers, where everything from your car to the microwave is hooked to the internet. I myself was resistant to eBooks, preferring the feel of paper. However, I gave in. I got a Kindle for Christmas this last year and I love it!
More importantly probably is that eBooks mean a whole lot for writers… especially struggling writers who have a difficult time finding a publisher to take a chance on them. E-publishing can be a means to show the publishers that a writer has the right stuff! With so many people utilizing e-readers and the medium being accepted by so many, the reach of a self-published author can now extend further.
My father said something to me recently… to be a writer at some point you have to publish your work.
If your novel is good, people will flock to you and gobble up the stories. Self-published eBooks is is a way of getting a fan base. An author is only as good as the people who read his or her work, no matter where they get it. Why not from a self-published author who is selling his wares on Amazon? Today, such is possible!
Suvudu, a favorite site of mine, has an interesting opinion article about e-publishing and how its changing the literary industry. Take a look by clicking here.
