Haven’t written for a while, been busy with the nine-to-five and I’m working on a new novel. So I guess I have been “writing”, just not on the blog. I’m also editing the second Amatsu Musha novel.
Anyway, I’m close to be finished with the new novel, its the first in a new series. The series was conceived from a short story, one that I would like to post soon but it needs some tweaking to be more inline with the novel. Some changes have been made and I want the story in sync. Right now I won’t say too much about the novel/new series, however I will say it is heading towards being something for teens/young adults. At least this is what a friend of mine tells me, a beta reader who I give my work to chapter by chapter. We’ll see about the audience appeal. I promise I will get that short story ready, need to just do some primping and fluffing. My stories are like my kids, and I wouldn’t want any of my children going out looking like a vagabonds.
What am I reading these days? I’ll tell you. After finishing Turn Coat (Jim Butcher’s latest is a great, a transitional novel in the series that does well in telling readers things in Harry Dresden’s world are changing and the Apocalypse is on the way), I went back to the Song of Ice and Fire series. Currently I’m reading Storm of Swords. Fantastic addition to the series, things keep getting better and better as I read. Martin may take his time getting his series out there, but he delivers for those fans willing to wait for high quality fantasy.
Till next time.
