Short Story and Updated

Wow!  It’s been a while.  I haven’t posted in a month or so.  The nine-to-five has been hectic and I’ve been doing rewrites on the new novel.  I am happy to announce that the new novel I’ve been working on, after three drafts and a lot of input from the great and wise Beta Council, is finished.  In the last couple of days I’ve compiled a list of agents and I’ve sent out a couple of queries, more pestering to follow.  Now I play the waiting game and move on to another project.  As someone once said, life goes on.

Speaking of moving on…

I have a new short story.  It’s been posted on my website, you can even leave comments and critiques below the story, which I encourage.  To read it CLICK HERE.  The short story is a teaser of the world I’ve created in the aforementioned new novel.  Actually, it was this short story that inspired the novel.  It’s about a number cruncher who is so married to his mundane, schedule-ruled life that he doesn’t realize he’s died.  Now a little girl, a spirit hunter who works for a living skeleton, must get the number cruncher’s spirit back, while a long the way learning there is hope in filling the vacant place in her own routine life of spirit hunting.

Well… Enjoy!  I’m off to get some sleep.
