I have to say, I am extremely excited. In five days Jim Butcher’s new entry into his Dresden Files series, Turn Coat, will be out in bookstores. Its one of my favorite book series.
I found the series after watching the god-awful Sci-Fi Channel adaptation. And it was horrible, people. To say the least… it was just an abomination, unworthy of being attached to the books. This short-lived TV series was the Dresden Files in name only.
Anyway, I picked up the books and found a great substitute to the Harry Potter books. Butcher blends magic into the real world seamlessly, making it believable and still mysterious. Harry, the main protagonist, is the everyman and very related, from his cursed love live to his problems with paying the bills. Oh yeah, and Bob, a talking skull with a wind spirit trapped inside, is funny as hell as the always witting lab assistant/personal wizard’s computer.
Great Stuff, and the series continues in less than a week!!!
